Nope. He Is Being Pushed Back.

Well, I decided on yet another costume I'd rather wear than poor Ole' Moonlight Knight.

A-Kon 17 I will dress like this guy. His name is Dark Mousy and he is from "DN Angel," one of my favorite series. He is an art theif that has been stealing art from the Hikari family for 300 years. In the Niwa family, when you turn 14 the males will become 17 year old Dark, but only when they feel love for the girl they have a crush on. Yeah, he's quite the looker, isn't he. I look nothing like that sadly. But maybe by next year I'll have lost a lot of weight an toned up for it?

Thing is, he has purple hair and I don't think I could get my hair to do that. I might need to get a wig... Or at least try to get it similar to his and spray it purple. Also, he never wears the same suit twice, so I need to pick one that I think will be easy to make and go with that. I will just by Black Angel wings and wear them, that way it will be easier to figure out who I am supposed to be. So cause I am not as "hot" as him and he wont take a lot of work, he will be a Friday CosPlay (plus we always drive 2 hours to the Kon in out costumes, so the more normal the costume the more comfortable I am during the drive.)

Look At These: With Wings. Chibi! See The Hair? More Wing.

You know... Last year I was having a freakin hard time of thinking of anyone I could CosPlay as. Now I am getting so many ideas I need more conventions just to do them all! Oh well, I am happy. So, at the moment the plan is:

A-Kon 17:
Friday - Dark Mousy
Saturday - Hamlin

A-Kon 18:
Friday - Moonlight Knight
Saturday - Allen Walker

Man! I wish A-Kon was a 4 day event like some other big Anime Conventions are! Or the others were easier to get to at least.... Arrghh~!!

This is Allen Walker from "D. Gray-man". He is an exorcist... But far from the type you imagine. This is his suit I plan to make. He has silver hair. Posted by Hello

This Is the scar on his eye I will have to draw on myself. Posted by Hello

Too Bad I Can't Do THIS With My Eye. Would Be Sa-Weet. Posted by Hello

His Arm Look Like This With A Cross Burned Into His Palm. Might Do This... Posted by Hello

His Arm Turns Into This. I Dream Of Pulling This Off At A-Kon... I Think I Could Actually. Posted by Hello

Poor Moonlight Knight...

Once again, I have to push the Moonlight Knight back another A-kon, because I have thought of another costume I'd rather do than him... Actually... I might do him next year anyway... See, Firdays you don't wear your BEST costume. Saturday is the main CosPlay day... I might wear him on Friday and Hamlin on Sat....

Anyway, as for the person I was thinking about replacing Knight with is this guy.... Appartenly I choose ALL the characters with next to no good pictures on the internet, so I will have to post a picture like I did with Hamlin.

This Is Another Image of Hamlin and he is with Princess Flute. Look at the Violin. Posted by Hello

Didn't Even Have To Use Alchemy...

The other day I bought "Full Metal Alchemist and the Broken Angel" for my PlayStation 2. It's a game based off of one of my favorite anime series. But when I tried to play it, my system kept telling me "Disk read error" which wasn't making me very happy.

So the next day I took the game back to Best Buy, since I figured the disk was dead on arrival, and I just needed to get a new copy of it. So I did, and when I tried that disk, the same problem occured... After talking to Maniac about it, he said it means my PS2 is about to die. His wouldn't read new games either before it crashed. I've only had this thing for about a year. Used my tax refund to get it. Kind sucks if I had to use this year's tax refund to buy another one...

So I got on eBay to look for a new one for cheap. No luck... Then I got an idea. I found a website telling me how to fix the dreaded "Disk read error" problem. It was sickeningly easy to do. And wouldn't you know? It worked perfectly.

Would have been funny if I had to use alchemy to fix my PS2 so that I could play my Full Metal Alchemist game...

I think now I want to get my hands on the "Inu Yasha: The Secret of the Cursed Mask" game... and I still need "Gungrave" and "Gungrave: Overdose" games... I am also thinking about importing "Naruto 2" for the GameCube... So much to get, so little money to spend.

With only 4 hours of work next week and 7.75 hours the week after, I won't be getting very big checks... And I've been there a year as of the 26th this month. I am so looking for a new job. Hopefull I find one soon that pays well, gives me more hours, and I won't hate with a passion like I do this one. But If I can't find one by the end of March I will stop looking till I get back from A-Kon. I'd really like a job at Best Buy... After 3 months you get a crazy discount on everything according to the friends I had working there.

Hmm... My tax refund this year will be $198... I was planning on using most of that as A-Kon spening money, but I should help my parents out with money... Since I am not in college and have a lousy job, I am not worth what they are spending on me... Maybe if I get a nice job and start making more I can talk Maniac into getting an apartment with me?

On a personal note to my friend TBH, I am sorry I was not able to save enough money to buy you a plane ticket up here to attend A-Kon with me this year. With any luck, I might be able to next year. Please keep your fingers crossed for me and blow a kiss to the full moon and ask her to help me as well.

Speaking of A-Kon. My current plans for CosPlay at next year's A-Kon will be the Moonlight Knight from Sailor Moon R, and Hamlin from Hamlin no Violin Hiki (Violinist of Hamlin). Let me see if I can find a picture of Hamlin... Won't be easy, I bet. Series was made in 1996, 25 episodes long and not many Americans know about it... Here, just scroll down till you see the name Hamlin under a picture. He's the 2nd picture. This one too... Yes, that is GIANT violin on him in these pictures if you can see it. Look like cello, I know, but it's actually a violin. I love that. His friend carries a piano on his back. This would be fun to CosPlay. Heh.

I Am An Enthusiastic CosPlayer

Hehehe~. Thanks Bantam. I am indeed an enthusiastic CosPlayer. You should be greatly honored that you know me! Bwahahah~!! And those links worked, and I think that would be pretty cool to see you CosPlay as.

Update on the costumes!!!

Okay, I will start with Haru. I have just finished putting together the sword, Rune Save. Took me 6 hours straight. I had to do some archeticting, as the picture I used for reference was 8 inches and I had to turn it into 5 feet. Some how, the sword came out to be 5' 8"... It's an inch taller than me people! The blade is like 3' 6", the hand gaurd is roughly 5" and the hilt is 18-20".... Something like that. It looks rather accurate though... Sadly, I made it out of cardboard, so the edges were holey. So I used duct tape to cover them. I started to spray pain it green, but it looks a little weird cause you can still see the edges of the tape... I am hoping enough coats of paint will make those edges disappear... ::sweat drop::

Currently only one side is painted. I still need to do the other side then pain the guard and the hilt piece. Then wrap the hilt in tennis raquet grip, and then take a sharpy and draw the designs on the blade.

As for the costume, I have most of what I need. I just need to either sew of the designs on my sleeves, or paint those on with fabric paint.... I think I may go with the latter. Then I have created out of molding clay, the first Rave Stone Haru gets and the charms on his necklace. Need to paint those and get a chain.

I have decided I need to make a Plue. That white thing I linked a picture of. I couldn't find a stuffed animal of him on eBay or any online stores... So I need to make one. I have an idea how, but it sounds crazy and cruel...

Finally, I still need to get the silver hair spray...

As for Jin... I found a patter for a full body kimono... I bought some material to use, and will have to alter the pattern a bit, but I think I can get it to come out all right.

Finally bought a wooden sword off of eBay. I will have to make a sheath for it out of paper mache and then paint it to look like a sword. Just need a small plastic sword to be the kodachi.

JCPenny was having a huge sale, so my mother took me. We bought two skirts for me. That sounds weird, I agree. Believe me, I was most embarrassed when she would hold a skirt against me to see how it would look... See, to make Jin's Umanori (Traditonal Men's Kimono Pants) I will need two skirts, split them at seams, sew together at those seams, cut down the middle, sew more seams. That way they will look basically like real Umanori. But I needed her so it didn't look like I was the one buying them... ::embarrased:: Jin will take the most work. I honestly wanted to avoid doing sewing this time around. The sewing room is cramped and a hassle to move around in... Oh well.

At JCPenny I fell in love with this necklace I found... It has a heart made of onyx and then this Victoriam design made of white gold spreading over the two bumps at the top of the heart... It's dazzling and I couldn't stop looking at it. $149.99.... Guess what. I bought it... Just cause I couldn't bare leaving it... I'll be paying that off for awhile... (That's the price of a Nintendo DS! ::tear::!!)

So, CosPlay is close to being complete. Yosh! Now to start getting A-Kon meetings set and discussing plans.

Crap...

<_<>_> o_o... Dang it...

The Haori I bought for $15 off of eBay for my Jin costume arrived today, but... It's too small for me... Again... I thought it would fit, guess I read wrong... I hate this body of mine. Nothing ever fits nicely... But, it's mostly my fault it is this way. I may be "built like a football player," but I let myself go overboard... Like I have said previously, I am working on that situation...

But no amount of healthy work out and weight loss will make this Haori fit me. (Maybe if I was 15 again...) I will just have to get down to basics. I must find a kimono style Navy Blue robe some where, cut it, and alter it. That will have to do...

Haven't done much with my CosPlaying as of late... Just haven't been in the mood. But I do not want to be working on it up until a day before the Kon again like I did last year. I still have almost 4 months left. I am sure I will get both of them completed with plenty of time to spare...
